Last weekend I went to Hobby Lobby in search of a pretty fall wreath for our front door. HOLY COW! Those things are WAY over priced. What's the deal? Even at 50% off they were $40-$70.

No thank you!

So I inspected them and decided I could buy the things to make my own wreath. So, I did! And spent $12. If I would have bought enough to go all around the wreath and really fill it up it would have been more money, but I was going for something a little different.

I'm pretty proud of our new front door, also. It has been green since we bought the house and I've always hated it. When I say green, I don't mean a shade of green, but just plain ole GREEN. Yuck. A few weeks ago I painted it and Scott put new hardware on it. No more green and gold! We are movin' on up. :)

Stupid Iphone picture is small and I don't know why? The ones from the other day loaded fine but this one is not. Oh well, you get the idea.

The sky was absolutely GORGEOUS Saturday night. I was in awe. I LOVE the sunset across our front yard/neighbors pasture. And I really wish I could get this picture to enlarge!

I forgot about this song. It's from Jack Johnson's CD "Sleep through the Static" which came out probably about 2 years ago. I was listening to Jack this morning while getting ready and it came on and I remembered it was another one of mine and Scott's songs. We have lots of songs. I guess when I say it's one of our songs it's one that either Scott or I said reminds us of each other and feel all romantical and sweet when we listen to it. :) LOVE this song!

WHO ALL IS READY FOR SOME COLLEGE FOOTBALL THIS WEEKEND?!? :)

  2. Good job on the wreath! I guess this means I can put mine out for fall. No I didn't make mine. I got lucky and found it on sale at Ellis for $20 two years ago. Thank you for your sweet comment on my post about Jon. It really makes me emotional to think about adoption and how God has special plans for all of us, it's exciting to watch them unfold. :)
